Extras seek $11 million from Tom Cruise after accident

BERLIN () - Twelve movie extras are seeking $11 million in restitution from Tom Cruise and his yield company subsequently suffering broken bones, cuts and bruises in the filming of World War Two picture "Valkyrie" in Berlin last year.





The extras were injured on August 19, 2007, when the side panel of a period German army motortruck burst opened as it drove about a corner in central Berlin.





A lawyer for the extras told Television on Tuesday that witnesser statements indicated the truck's side panel had non been properly secured.





Cruise was not on the rig at the time.





"A newfangled letter has been sent to Tom Cruise, (business partner) Paula Wagner and United Artists, in which we set up out the facts of the case again and put a figure on the legal demands of our clients ... of $11 million," aforementioned lawyer Ariane Bluttner.





"Valkyrie" is named after the codename for a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler concocted by senior German military officers during World War Two. Cruise plays ringleader Claus von Stauffenberg.





The film's original liberation date has been postponed to December 26 from July 4 this year.





The German government initially banned the production from shooting on location at the Berlin situation where the plot was hatched and the conspirators executed.





It subsequently changed its mind afterward months of national turn over that focused in portion on membership of the Scientologist spiritual movement, of which Cruise is a member.�

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Jonatha Brooke has been issuing albums that coalesce folk and pop since the early '90s, first base as a penis of a duo called the Story and and then later as a solo artist. Brooke formed the Story (originally called Jonatha & Jennifer for their number one few years together) along with another vocalizer, Jennifer Kimball, patch the geminate was both attention Massachusette's Amherst College in the early '80s. Despite playing topically on a regular basis during their college career, the duet never issued whatever demos or albums and took a break for a period after graduation, during which time Brooke united a dance troupe. Evan Bartholomew, under the soubriquet Bluetech, produces his unique style of experimental noise from San Diego, CA. Classically trained on the piano for world playacting, Bartholomew deviated from the traditional sounds and began to verbalize the rhythms that sprouted from inside him, and Bluetech was born. This resulted in his interpreting of nature's formulation of beingness, a sound that is dronal ambient, downtempo, improvisational. He devoured the electronic potentials for melodious look and conveyed it in IDM, digidub, and psychedelic trance.


Bartholomew created and runs his own art corporate in San Diego and does commercial reasoned design and output for both national and regional clients. He too writes and produces his own songs. "The Rubicon", "Prayers For Rain", and "Mezzamorphic" originally appeared on an EP released by Truffle Records, and brought the name Bluetech to a larger consultation. In September 2003, these songs appeared on Bluetech's number one album, Prima Materia, released by Waveform Records.

Celebrity Watch: Jonas Brothers exit press conference in New York

June 13, 2008 () - The Jonas Brother, in New York to promote their TV film 'Camp Rock', have been getting a lot of press and fan attention in the Big Apple. They looked tired, but cheerful, as they left a press conference, waving at their fans.

The sibling rockers have a busy summer ahead.

On July 4th 2008 they will kick off the Burning Up Tour at Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario. The North American tour is aimed at promoting their third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, which is set to be released in the United States on August 12, 2008.

A Disney Digital 3D production crew will be film the shows in Anaheim, CA on July 13 and 14, for movie that will be released in theatres early next year. The brothers are also scheduled to star in a new Disney Channels series called J.O.N.A.S! (Junior Operatives Networking as Spies). The show will feature them as band members who dovetail as spies, and will include their youngest sibling, seven-year-old Frankie.

Silverchair - Silverchair Star Johns Dominates Apra Award


SILVERCHAIR frontman DANIEL JOHNS picked up three honours at the 2008 APRA Music Awards in Australia on Monday night (16Jun08).

The singer, who was sporting a black eye, was named Songwriter Of The Year at a ceremony in Sydney, becoming the first artist to win the award three times.

The band's track Straight Lines won both the prestigious Song Of The Year Award, and the gong for Most Played Australian Work For Coverage On Radio And TV.

Other award winners included singer Sally Seltmann, who co-wrote Feist's catchy pop song 1,2,3,4; she picked up Breakthrough Songwriter Of The Year Award.

Rogue Traders won their second APRA in the Best Dance Work category for In Love Again, while Jade MACRae was a first-time winner with In The Basement in the Urban Category.

According to Digital Spy, Jordan, real name Katie Price, was in the US to have a chest simplification operation.
Her married man Simon Peter Andre was with her when she took the tumble.
A message posted on her MySpace thomas Nelson Page said: "Oodles of messages ingest come in request if Katie is o.K. afterwards falling kill a flight of stairs in LA.
"From what we listen, she is walk, although at the time, she thought she had broken both legs.
"Dick is back in England to be with the little ones and Katie will be home soon."

Formed in 1991, Mustard Ballyhoo effected itself as a hardworking mugwump banding.
